Services for Active- Duty Military Personnel and Dependents
Active-duty military personnel and dependents may seek help for insomnia, anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, adjustment or other concerns. Dr. Freeman has approximately seven years of experience working with this population. Care does not assume that every military patient has PTSD or that military service defines the whole person.
When Several Concerns Overlap
Many patients do not fit neatly on one service page. Insomnia can occur with anxiety, trauma or chronic pain. Pain can affect mood and sleep. Trauma may increase nighttime arousal or avoidance. Dr. Freeman and the patient identify a useful starting point while keeping the larger pattern in view.

Care Beyond Symptom Relief
Dr. Freeman’s work focuses on relief, functioning and changes that can be carried into daily life. Treatment may address thoughts, behaviors, habits, coping and the ways sleep, health, relationships and stress affect one another.
Meaning, purpose, relationships, movement, nutrition, sleep and personal values can support well-being. These factors are
considered as part of the whole person, not as a claim that a psychological or medical problem can be solved through willpower or lifestyle change alone.
Who the Practice Serves
Dr. Freeman works with teens, adults and older adults. Services are generally provided individually, and couples may be seen when that format is clinically appropriate for the presenting concern.
The practice welcomes LGBTQ+ patients and people from varied cultural, relationship and spiritual backgrounds. A free
consultation can clarify whether the concern, age, requested format and level of care fit the practice.
